Of course, Enterprise is the first Star Trek prequel series that began production 10 years after Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, the final film about the cast of Star Trek: The Original Series. Star Trek: Enterprise season 2 condemning Archer to the same Klingon penal planet as Kirk is a clever retcon.
