One of the best examples of just how economical and efficient director Steven Soderbergh can be, the film Contagion was a solid hit back when it was released in 2011, but it went viral in 2020, during the early days of the pandemic. The movie's expansive narrative features a bunch of characters navigating a particularly nasty virus, but the reason why it became such a rage on home video some years ago is because of how scientifically accurate and foresighted it appeared to be. Contagion is now witnessing another resurgence on streaming; this time, thankfully, in less concerning circumstances, medically speaking.
