Ready for another passage of time post to make you feel old as hell ONTD? No? Okay, here.
Exactly 10 years ago today, Brandon Flowers dropped his magnum opus, also know as his second studio album, The Desired Effect. Primarily an 80's synth pop-rock album, it was produced by both Ariel Rechtshaid and Flowers and mixed by Alan Moulder. It debuted at No. 1 in the UK and No. 17 in the United States.
It had four singles: "Can't Deny My Love," "Still Want You," "Lonely Town" and "I Can Change."
It also marks 10 years since I submitted my first post, which was about this exact album and ~era. Due to somewhat of a lack of updates and coverage back in 2015 about this release, I decided to stop being afraid and submit posts... then became that insufferable user that exclusively posted about The Killers until ~I branched off and submitted all things pop culture... and food. I had to go back and check the tag, but I'm pretty sure this was my first ONTD post ever.
You can check out my 3 year (lol) anniversary post here, it goes a little more in depth. Or not.
