The Star Trek franchise celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, with what’s now known as Star Trek: The Original Series kicking off its three-season run on NBC on September 8, 1966. During these six decades of movies, TV shows, and other media, many intelligent characters have been introduced. That’s to be expected given that this is a science fiction property populated with many different species, entities, and artificial creations across not just the main reality, but multiple other universes and timelines.
