Spoilers in movie trailers are becoming a bigger and bigger problem. It would’ve been nice to be surprised when the Hulk showed up as Thor’s gladiatorial opponent in Thor: Ragnarok, but Marvel gave it away in the trailer. It would’ve been nice to be surprised by the chestburster X-ray and the facehugger horde and the floating acid blood in Alien: Romulus, but Disney gave all of that away in the trailers. As box office returns are dwindling, and studios are getting more desperate to create hype for their movies, we’re seeing more and more spoilers in our trailers.
