If you watched a comedy and it wasn’t at least a little bit fun, then maybe it wasn’t a very good comedy. Okay, it could've also been the darkest of dark comedies, or a dramedy where there was more of a focus on the drama side of things than the comedic side, and that can be okay. Movies can make that approach work, as the likes of relatively recent titles like Anora and The Worst Person in the World show.
