Martial arts movies live or die by the fight. A great story helps, memorable characters matter, and nobody complains about beautiful cinematography, but eventually somebody has to throw the first punch. Even the greatest American-made martial arts movies owe a huge debt to performers and filmmakers who turned fight choreography into an art form.
