The most prestigious prizes in the worlds of sci-fi and fantasy writing are the Hugo and Nebula Awards, the former voted on by members of the annual World Science Fiction Convention, the latter bestowed by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association. Winning either award is a tremendous achievement. Winning both practically ensures classic status.
