Shonen is easily the biggest anime demographic around, and for good reason. With an age range that caters to younger viewers without alienating older ones, combined with the wide variety of their stories, shonen anime always have a level of accessibility that other anime demographics can’t match, and they’ve easily dominated the medium because of it.
