Netflix's ever-expanding catalog of original movies has given the streaming service a bold selection to try and entice future subscribers. It gained prestige through its collaborations with auteurs such as Martin Scorsese and David Fincher and created a corner of mass-appeal comedies by signing a long-term deal with Adam Sandler. The streamer also helped make some significant contributions to the action genre.
