A shootout is, you know, a scene where people shoot at each other. The gunfire does usually have to be prolonged and kind of the centerpiece of a scene for it to really feel like a proper shootout, though there are some examples below where the gunfire technically only lasts a handful of seconds, with the scene being extended thanks to the use of slow motion, or the emphasis potentially being on the lead-up to the shooting, rather than the shooting itself.
